Technology advancements and a shrinking pipeline of accountants are driving Artificial Intelligence (AI), especially Generative AI (GenAI), into the workflows of nonprofit accounting, auditing, and reporting. This session explains the toolkit you’ll need, individually and organizationally, to engage GenAI effectively and responsibly. We will consider GenAI’s strengths and weaknesses, note where and in what forms you might encounter it, discuss how to approach it ethically and responsibly, and share best practices for communicating with chat-based GenAI tools.
