Beth Cantrell

Beth is the Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of George Mason University Foundation, Inc., an independent charitable foundation that accepts, manages, invests, and expends private resources for the benefit of the programs, faculty and students of George Mason University. Prior to joining GMUF in 2011, Beth worked for a public accounting firm serving not-for-profit clients with a focus on entities related to institutions of higher education. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and a Master of Accounting from the University of Florida and is a licensed Certified Public Accountant. She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants as well as the Greater Washington Society of Certified Public Accountants.

Beth is responsible for the strategic and financial operations of the Foundation including the accounting and management of philanthropic contributions and oversight of the real estate, debt, and investment portfolios. She works to support the President of the Foundation, the Foundation Board of Trustees, and Advancement and University leadership to advance strategic priorities of the Foundation in support of George Mason University.
