Judy Barnhard

As Executive Vice President and Director of Professional Services, Wealth Management, and Financial Planning Services, Judith P. Barnhard, CPA, CFP®, CDFA®, brings over 40 years of expertise to her role at Councilor, Buchanan & Mitchell (CBM). Specializing in comprehensive financial planning, income tax minimization, and wealth preservation for high-net-worth clients and not-for-profit organizations, Judy’s success is marked by her tailored solutions and keen listening skills. Beyond her leadership at CBM, she serves as Chief Compliance Officer and Senior Advisor for the firm’s wealth management subsidiary, May Barnhard Investments, LLC, which she co-founded in 2013. Judy began her career serving not-for-profit organizations as an auditor with an international accounting firm and later providing more advisory services.  Judy is a respected speaker on tax and financial planning topics, engaging with professional associations and community organizations alike. With a commitment to community service, she sits on the board of directors for the National Foundation for Cancer Research and volunteers with Starfleet Service Dogs and the Seneca Valley Pony Club. With a B.S. in Accounting from Northeastern University and certifications as a CPA, CFP®, and CDFA®, Judy continues to be a driving force in financial planning and professional services.
